Guide: Extending a volume
Extending a volume
If you want to change the size of your volume, go to Provisioning > Instances and select the instance to which the volume is attached.
Then open the Action drop-down menu in the upper-right corner and select the Reconfigure option.
When the "Reconfigure Instance" window appears, existing volumes will be displayed.
WARNING: Disk sizes can only be expanded and not reduced. Resize actions for this instance will cause node(s) to be restarted.
You can change the size of the volume you are interested in by increasing the value of gigabytes in the right field (e.g. data-2 from 5 GB to 30 GB):
You can check if the resize operation has completed successfully in the Storage tab in the instance menu.
You can also check this using the
lsblkcommand from the CLI.
